Payroll errors damage employee trust and create regulatory exposure. MKonnect Global's Payroll & Reporting service provides fully managed UAE payroll processing — WPS-compliant, on time every cycle — combined with professional management accounts that give business owners and boards the financial insight to make confident decisions.
Payroll is one of the most critical and reputationally sensitive functions in any business. A single error — in a salary amount, a benefit calculation, or a WPS submission — damages employee trust, creates regulatory exposure under UAE Labour Law, and can result in significant penalties from the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE). MKonnect Global's Payroll service eliminates this risk by providing meticulous, fully managed payroll processing from setup through to every monthly cycle.
Our payroll specialists are expert in UAE-specific payroll requirements including the Wage Protection System (WPS), gratuity calculations under the UAE Labour Law and DIFC Employment Law, pension contributions for GCC nationals, employee expense reimbursement policies and benefit-in-kind treatment. We maintain current knowledge of all legislative changes affecting UAE payroll — ensuring clients are always compliant without needing to monitor regulatory developments themselves.
Alongside payroll, our management reporting service transforms monthly accounting data into a professional management pack that gives business owners and boards the financial visibility needed for confident decision-making — covering P&L performance, balance sheet health, cash flow, KPIs and budget variance analysis.
Comprehensive services for UAE and GCC businesses
End-to-end monthly payroll processing covering salary calculations, allowances, deductions, overtime, leave encashment and final settlements — with all calculations independently reviewed before processing.
Wage Protection System submission management ensuring 100% on-time salary payments through the approved WPS channel — eliminating the risk of MOHRE penalties and licence violations.
Accurate gratuity accrual calculations under UAE Labour Law and DIFC Employment Law, leave balance tracking and final settlement preparation — ensuring compliance and protecting businesses from disputes.
Monthly management accounts package including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement, KPI dashboard and budget variance analysis — delivered in a board-ready format with clear commentary.
Quarterly and annual financial reporting, board presentation preparation, and investor-facing financial summaries — translating accounting data into clear financial narratives for non-finance audiences.
Headcount cost analysis, salary benchmarking, payroll budget modelling and cost-per-hire reporting — giving HR and finance leaders the data needed to manage the largest cost line in most UAE businesses.
A proven, structured methodology that delivers measurable results
We gather employee data, establish payroll parameters, configure salary structures and review existing compliance — completing a thorough setup that ensures every subsequent cycle runs accurately from day one.
Each payroll cycle is processed, independently reviewed by a senior payroll specialist, and reconciled against the previous period before any payments are released — with a clear approval workflow at every stage.
Salaries are released through WPS, payslips distributed securely, and payroll journals posted to the accounting system — followed by a payroll summary report and variance commentary for management review.
We monitor UAE Labour Law and MOHRE regulatory changes, advise on their payroll implications, manage MOHRE inspection readiness, and handle any employee payroll queries — keeping compliance current without client effort.
100% on-time WPS-compliant payroll processing eliminates the risk of MOHRE penalties, licence suspension and the reputational damage of salary delays — protecting the business and maintaining employee trust.
Professional monthly management accounts replace ad-hoc, delayed financial reports — giving owners and boards accurate, timely financial insight without waiting for the annual audit.
Outsourced payroll eliminates the internal resource cost and error risk of in-house processing — with a specialist team that stays current on all regulatory changes without requiring ongoing management attention.
Businesses with 5-150 employees that lack a dedicated HR or payroll function — needing reliable, compliant payroll processing without the overhead of an in-house specialist.
UAE businesses with employees across multiple nationalities, currencies and employment contracts — requiring precise handling of the complex interplay between UAE Labour Law, DIFC/ADGM employment frameworks and home-country obligations.
Companies whose management reporting is either non-existent, delayed or unreliable — seeking professional monthly management accounts that support faster, better-informed business decisions.
"Payroll accuracy is non-negotiable — it is the most visible measure of how much a business values its people. We treat every payroll run with that standard of care."
— Mustafa A Khan, Director — Corporate Advisory, MKonnect Global
The Wage Protection System (WPS) is an electronic salary transfer system operated by the UAE Central Bank that enables the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE) to monitor whether private sector employers are paying salaries on time and in full. All private sector companies employing 100 or more workers must comply with WPS. Companies with 15-99 employees are also required to comply. Non-compliance results in a ban on new work permit applications, fines, and in severe cases business licence suspension. MKonnect Global manages the full WPS submission process for all clients, ensuring 100% on-time compliance.
UAE end-of-service gratuity is calculated based on the employee's basic salary and years of service under Federal Law No. 33 of 2021 (the UAE Labour Law). The calculation is: for the first five years of service, 21 calendar days' basic salary per year; for service beyond five years, 30 calendar days' basic salary per additional year. The total gratuity is capped at two years' gross salary. Gratuity is not payable if the employee resigns within the first year of service. DIFC and ADGM employment frameworks have different gratuity and end-of-service benefit structures. MKonnect Global calculates gratuity accruals monthly and manages all final settlement calculations.
